# General Design

1. Design Standards
The structural design of the storage tank conform to the design standards except as modified or clarified by the client. Some of the following factors are considered while designing

Environmental Loads

1. Wind - Wind effects shall be determined in accordance for a design keeping wind speed as a parameter. In coastal regions and certain geographical locations, tanks may be exposed to winds that exceed 100 mph. In such cases, the wind load may be increased by the Purchaser.

2. Seismic - The service load design effects of earthquake shall be considered while designing and overhead water storage tank

3. Snow - The design snow load shall be ____ psf. (Default Snow Load tanks may be exposed to loads in excess of the default Snow Load. In such cases, the Snow Load are increased effecting the design parameters

# Foundation Loads
The foundations is designed to safely support the structure based on the recommendations of the geotechnical report. Foundations shall is in accordance with all STANDARDS subject to some parameters like

1. Allowable permanent soil pressure
2. Allowable short term soil pressure
Effect of dead load including net weight of the foundation.
Effect of water load.
Effect of seismic load.
Effect of wind load.
